Step 1: Carefully place the blade into the slider, holding it by the blunt edges (Fig. 1).

Step 2: Insert the handle of the plane into the slider (Fig. 2).

Step 3: To remove calluses, only pull the plane lengthwise toward the handle. Never use it crosswise! (Fig. 3) Risk of injury!

Step 4: For a final smoothing of the heels, use the rasp clip. To do this, carefully remove the slider with the blade. Then attach the rasp clip (Fig. 4). Using back-and-forth movements, gently smooth the heel.

Step 5: Clean under running water and place on a cloth to dry.
